Photograph of a large black bowl with the glaze pattern of a spiral galaxy.

Using our glaze combination called One Thousand Stars a swirling spiral galaxy is created, inspired by photographs of the Hubble Deep Space Telescope. Various star and planet bowls and platters as well as spiral galaxies are produced -- no two of which are ever alike.

green and red frog with stripe on its back.

Whimsical frogs, fish, roosters and other critters are painted in glaze on platters and bowls. These make wonderful gifts to nature lovers. Production is limited and these pots are usually sold very quickly. This platter is decorated with a soft, brown matt glaze background with a green and red frog from our Emerald glaze.

Photograph of an emerald green porcelain platter showing a beautiful
pattern of transparent green crackle and deep red color that can develop from
a singe copper bearing glaze.

This stunning platter glazed with only our Emerald glaze shows the remarkable unplanned kiln effects that happen. The gaseous flow patterns inside the kiln caused this copper bearing glaze to develop both red and green color patterns. We have made Emerald dinner plate settings for a number of customers with amazing color variations.

Photograph of an ox blood chalice and platen.

Ox blood or sang de boeuf chalice and platen produced for use in religious services. One of the most difficult glaze colors to produce, Ox-Blood requires precise control of kiln temperature, kiln atmosphere, and timing to be successful. When correctly fired a deep, rich red results.

yellow, brown Temmoku, and Emerald Green glazes.

Yellow glazed mugs with Emerald and Temmoku additions. These show only two of a very large variety of glaze combinations on stoneware and porcelain mugs. New glazes are constantly being tested and perfected.
