Driving Directions:
The
closest main town to Whitethorn is Garberville which lies on state highway 101
about 200 miles north of San Francisco.
The drive from San Francisco takes 4 to 5 hours through beautiful,
scenic country. Eureka is 60 miles
north of Garberville. There are a
number of motels in Garberville and Redway as well as several resturants.
To get to the Pottery from
Garberville take Redwood Drive to the town of Redway (3 miles). Stay on Redwood Drive until you reach
Briceland Rd. which forms a T with Redwood Drive. Turn left on Briceland Rd and follow it all the way to
Whitethorn, bearing left at the junctions with Ettersburg Rd and Shelter Cove
Rd. Continue through Whitethorn on
Briceland Rd going west until you reach the Mendocino County line (2 miles). At
this point you will pass the Redwood Monastery. Two miles from the County line you will see our mail box and
tall redwood sign on the right.
Turn up the driveway and you have arrived.
