ART OF SO HUMBOLDT was formed by Sherry Kay Kinser to be a cooperative effort among creative artists in southern Humboldt County, California, as a way of increasing the exposure of their excellent (and yet affordable) art works around the world via the Internet. We have found the redwood forest areas of southern Humboldt County, California, to foster our creative energies, and we enjoy making our creations available for your consideration. All work presented in this site is original art signed by the artist (or marked on the jewelery and other art objects with their special mark). In the near future we hope to have each artist provide biographical information and,if they wish, to give us more information about the creative process that went into each piece being offered.
This site will be expanding rapidly because quite a few artists have already contacted Sherry about having their works included here. If you are a local artist and wish to have your art included, please complete the Submit Art Form and Sherry will contact you with the details of how that can be accomplished.
Since the art being offered now will be selling soon, this site will constantly be changing and renewing itself. So we hope you will bookmark us and return often!!!
We are a small, home-grown operation and plan to manage it that way. To keep our art affordable, we do not accept credit card charges (which would take a chunk of the sale price) and we wait for check payments to clear prior to shipping the order (to avoid loss due to bad checks). All sales are "30-Day Satisfaction Guaranteed." Because it is difficult to finally judge whether or not a work of art will meet your expectations just from a photograph on the Internet, we understand that occasionaly a customer will not wish to keep a piece of art they receive. In all shipments, we include a return shipping label and shipping instructions. The cost of packing and return shipment fees are the responsibility of the customer. Upon the receipt of returned, undamaged art, Sherry will send you a refund check.
