| This trail gives you a glimpse of what much of the North Coast looked like hundreds of years ago. The preservation of this forest was made possible by a gift from John D. Rockefeller, Jr. In 1927, John D. Rockefeller, Jr. presented a gift of $1 million to the Save-the-Redwoods League to purchase over 10,000 acres of redwood forest. | |
