Wildflowers of the Coast Redwood Region   AG00001_.gif (4995 bytes)



Our instructors will take you along scenic trails of Humboldt Redwoods State Park to open your senses to the colorful and variegated assortment of spring wildflowers. Emphasis will be on the basics of wild flower identification, morphology and terminology necessary to familiarize yourself with plant families commonly found within HRSP.

Course includes slide presentation, discussion, handouts and field study. Recommended literature to have on hand: Redwood Region Flower Finder available at the Visitor Center Book Store for $3.00.


Bring water, lunch, comfortable walking shoes and any note-taking or picture-taking materials you would like to have for documentation.
