WAGE PEACE SCULPTURE

Below is a drawing of the sculpture by Chapter 22 member and artist, Michael De Leon titled "Peace Chalice". It will be created with all of our help by amassing disabled, broken, homeless, old and obsolete firearms, pistols, knives, swords, bayonets, rifles, shotguns, military or civilian weapons, souvenir guns and sabers, grenades and shells of all sizes even paint ball guns, and toy guns.

Please help us gather the above, and any other parts or pieces (i.e. barrels, grips and triggers), especially dangerous items like Saturday nite specials. We will convert these fearsome weapons of death and destruction into a sculpture designed to reflect a Wage Peace philosophy.

DeLeon chairs the sculpture committee and will oversee the team of artists who will hammer and weld the pieces into creation. The completed sculpture, inspired by the book "The Chalice and the Blade," will be placed outside the John Haynes Memorial Veterans Hall, in Garberville. On occasion, the two ton unit may be placed on a trailer and towed in parades with our "Spirit of Peace" bus.

Again, Please help us in this gathering phase of creating the Peace Chalice.
